Part-time Copywriting & PR Specialist

Location

Remote with access to a co-working space in Paddington, London. We only ask that you come in once a week and attend client meetings as required.

Contract

One year fixed term (4 days/week)

Salary

£35,000 pro rata

ThoughtSpark is a boutique PR & content marketing agency with a B2B focus. Our current client base includes global companies in the financial and healthcare industries, though we have previously worked in a range of sectors, including IT and property. We are based in London but have staff across the UK and in Germany.

About the role

We are looking to fill the new role of part-time Copywriting & PR Specialist (4 days). We’re looking for applicants with excellent writing, communication, and organisational skills to join our growing business. This role is ideal for someone who loves the learning process and distilling complex topics for easy absorption. Please note applications without a cover letter will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality content (reports, bylines, blogs, social media posts and other collateral as needed)
  • Manage junior team made of permanent and freelance employees, as well as external copywriters
  • Review content drafted by junior staff and support junior staff in developing writing skills
  • Carry out desk research for press material content
  • Liaise with clients authoritatively, proactively and intelligently, as a first point of contact
  • Be highly organised, understanding the importance of efficient processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and proactively proposing solutions to problems
  • Work with team members to ensure deadlines for client deliverables are consistently met
  • Work closely with the Account Director to execute campaigns and projects, and meet KPIs
  • Manage account administration (e.g., supplier and client invoices)

You’ll do great in the role if you:

  • have excellent writing skills (C2 level in written English).
  • are results driven.
  • have prior experience in B2B marketing (ideally 5+ years)
  • have prior experience in account management.
  • have strong verbal and written communication skills.

It’s a bonus if you:

  • have contacts in the relevant B2B industries
  • speak an additional language (specifically German, Spanish or French)
